Words can't describe how awesome those arrangements seem to be.

On another note, I won my first mahjong session yesterday! I somehow managed to get 2 expensive hands during the game. One of those hands ended with me getting a ron from the last tile! How awesome is that? Almost worthy of a rongasm.

Finished another anime yesterday, Nodame Cantabile. It's a true masterpiece. And I'm getting the feeling, that anime is completely deciding in which direction my mind wanders.. I mean Akagi gave me Mahjong and now Nodame made me come up with this:

So.. yeah. It's Friday and I have no function. I'd like to think that it's a work in progress, but you and I both know that it is highly improbable that I ever get the motivation to finish it. ^^

Oh, and we've been discovered. The Asashio Anime Club has found us and I can all ready see new potential mahjong players. :p

I just wanted to get something off my chest. On Friday, I got up real early (9:00) to go to a 10:15 Project Management lecture. Everything was fine until I got bored and instead of learning the latest secrets to software development team micromanagement I looked around to find something I could rest my eye on until it was time to return to the office for a daily dose of insanity.

Unfortunately my attention landed on some guy sitting right in front of me. Well, not actually the guy himself, but rather his laptop. What caught my eye was the instance of World of Warcraft running minimized. But then again, almost everybody younger than me is a fucked wow-addict, so nothing new there. I thought. When I leaned a bit forward for closer observation I discovered that the guy is likely to be of the same age as me, if not older and the instance of that thing was just the tip of the iceberg here. So, my train of thought stopped there to review what I had just tumbled upon: A male not much older than me and probably also a comp.sci student just like me, is sitting in a god-awful-early-morning lecture, reading wowwiki and writing to a text file titled "WoW-Notes.txt" while having the game running minimized and to put a cherry on top of all that, he had a wallpaper with his character on the deskop.
What the fuck is wrong with you? If you're doing pot or drinking like a maniac, that I can understand, but that game doesn't even have _an ending_ (nor a story, for that matter).

Sorry all you wow-philes, I have nothing against you or being addicted to things. It's just that there are so much better things you could be addicted to...

First of all, happy valentine's day to all of you. I hope yours was full red things too, just like mine. With all the splatter and spilling that goes along with-- but that's a story for another time.

Anyway, the real reason for I'm writing is that I want to tell you about our little game of mahjong last time we gathered. It was quite fun, because now most of us grasp the rules pretty well and we also had a beginner at the table who actually didn't do all that bad. :P So, now I have hopefully infected Muhv with the mahjong-virus as well. One more soul to fight for our cause!

There was five of us (Muhv, Hax, XLoom, Nitram and me) and Muhv moved around, playing on two different seats. So everybody got to play.
In the first deal of the East round Hax dealt into XLoom's hand and lost 16k. For yours truly, the game started out with completely average hands in the east round. I won the second deal with a really cheap hand. Hax got back at XLoom by 1300 and the East round ended with a quite amusing draw with Hax being the only one in tenpai (image below).

The south round was a bit more juicy for me, because I got some good hands. Unfortunately I never managed to materialize any of them. In the first deal I dealt into Muhv who was now playing in the seat of XLoom and lost 1500. Second deal ended quickly with Nitram tsumoing quite early and me being the dealer. Luckily it was a cheap hand totaling only 1200.
In the third deal of the South round hax declared riichi near the end, but Muhv took me for 1300 because I took a chance and dealt a risky 7-sou.
The last deal of the game ended with a double ron (Hax and me) on a tile dealt by Nitram. So, on the last Saturday Muhv took us for 45.5k leaving me on the second place with 23.8k followed by Nitram (20.2k) and Hax (10.5k).
